TYD's mission is to provide personal and academic development opportunities for disadvantaged and at-risk children. This is accomplished through fine arts programs and supplementary teaching programs.

As a first step to achieving that mission, Founder and Executive Director, Carolyn West developed partnerships with Texas schools. TYD is now widely recognized as a Service Provider of activities that strengthen the artistic, social and academic skills of students.

As a working charity, TYD generates revenue by providing schools with support to deliver measurable, cost-effective, on-site instruction to their students.  We are also funded through grants and donations.

What does TYD stand for?
TYD is an acronym for Thank You Darlin’, a sincere expression of gratitude that was used by the founder’s mother to make people feel warm, loved and valued.  TYD’s use of the phrase reflects the organization’s core beliefs that America must nurture and value its youth to insure a brighter future.
