Star Dance is a contemporary dance program structured to provide creative outlets for students to have fun while developing their physical fitness, self-discipline, self-esteem, cultural awareness and art appreciation. They also learn anatomy and dance vocabulary.

Dance History Lesson

Just like the world in which we live, dance is constantly changing. There was a time in American history when certain ways of dancing was illegal. Imagine being jailed for gyration. Also, there was a time when people of different races were forbidden to dance together. Students can research these periods in American history to increase their awareness and knowledge.
